Artist's Comments

Hey! Hey Shades! Guess what I finally finished! :D

Sooo I got my own set of happy fun lala fume markers at Manifest, and had this pic of Twostroke and G hanging around from forever ago that I needed to finish since the digital colouring wasn't working.

I was stupidly proud of the lineart of this. Thennnnnnnn I buggered up the colouring. :paranoid: So I may go back and have another crack at the digital version, especially considering I don't like the colour of G here. Stupid me not getting the right colour copic for my little dragon-bot. :ohmygod: And my scanner didn't pick up the shadows underneath them either. :confused:

Oh yeah, that's Twostroke, ~L-Shades little kitty character, and G, my Transformer OC. LE GASP, FIRST UPLOAD OF G-BOT! :la:

Twostroke - :iconl-shades:
G - meeeeee.
No touchy, kthxbai.

I think he looks great! You should have brought him around tonight for a art jam!

Don't confuse the fact that there's pretty pictures in her gallery with the fact that Ghaz has actual artistic talent. She tries, but she deludes herself.

I honestly don't think the colouring is as bad as you think it is! It could do with a few highlights though.

If I don't wanna destroy line art I'm proud of I photocopy, or scan and print out the line art (if I want to enlarge it or make the lines darker in an art program) onto marker paper. I've saved some nice line art that way. :D

Just make sure you put the marker paper the right way around in the printer... ^^;

It doesn't help that I'm still trying to get the hang of highlights and shadows either. ^^;

I did scan it, but I don't have a printer at the moment. And I didn't get any marker paper when I got the copics. >_> Something I must rectify next month when I visit Japan!...along with getting the proper colour for G.

Thank you for these comments loolaa, it's probably the best feedback I've had on my copic pictures. I really appreciate it. :hug:

G'damn. I wrote a load of stuff then Firefox crashed for seemingly no reason. How unusual. Now I don't remember everything I wrote!
It was something like:

Marker paper! Get it from an online art shop. That's where I get mine. And believe me, colouring looks so much smoother on marker paper you'll feel so much happier with your colouring.

Highlight and shadows get easy with practice. :)

Ugh, I hate it when that happens. It takes me long enough to think of comments in the first place let alone when they've gone poof!

Aye aye captain! On the to get list, one packet of marker paper! :salute:
